Does PR really matter in SEO ?

PR = Page Rank, Points one page has on a ten point scale. But actual thing is pretty much complicated.
SEO = Search Engine Optimization, Technique used to improved search engine rankings.

With everyone trying to achieve good PR, i am not even concerned about it.

Is PR actaully that important to get some decent amount of traffic from search engines ?

I guess : NO

All you need to get some good amount of traffic from search engines is unique content.

In order to get traffic, website should be concentrated on one topic. It should provide users a great experience. Links to related sites with great original content should be provided.

Don't worry about decrease in PR cos u added links to other sites, it will rather bring you more organic traffic.

I have experienced it myself.

I added links to related sites with good content, and after a week i went from 70 unique visitors per day to 120 visitors per day.

Just pick your niche and provide all information related to it.
